A fun to explore and swim, rustic 3.5 acre farm-fenced section of the Must Love Dogs property that is located just off of SH2, just minutes from Dannevirke.
The Matamau stream runs through this section of the property offering tons of sniffing and exploring opportunities. The water is relatively shallow but does reach dog swimming depths in spots.
As this piece of land sits low, it is relatively secluded from the rest of the farm as well as any farm animals. It has many mature trees for shelter that add to the beauty of the spot.
It is all perimeter farm-fenced but note that the stream continues on from this fenced portion and there is no fencing across the stream where it enters and exits this 3.5 acre section.
Terrain varies considerably so watch your footing. It has also been recently grazed by cattle.
Wear your gumboots and please pick up after your dog. Enjoy!
Please note that your booking begins on the hour. Please do not enter the property before your booking time. The last 10 minutes of the hour is to allow for you to exit the property to ensure the safety of all (arriving & exiting) guests & dogs.
Location: 29 Factory Road, Matamau, Dannevirke
Turn into the first drive on the right, just before the woolshed. Drive down and park by the lower barn, closing the wooden gate across the drive after you drive through. Everything is open for the Stream Explorer. Please do not go through or over any fencing or locked gates.
Please pickup after your dogs and take any rubbish with you.
The Dog House Shoppe has toys, leads, collars and treats (stocked up at the villa) if you find you need something to make your visit even more fun.
Please note that dogs should only be in the permitted Stream Explorer area of the property. If you should need anything from the Shoppe or myself, please have all dogs confined to your vehicle first. Thank you!
For safety reasons, children are not permitted in any of the Must Love Dogs private dog fields.
